A Bit of History:

By the late 1800s people began to visit Maine in a phenomenon sometimes known as the "rusticators" movement. Cottages, Rooming houses, and Inns were scattered around Casco Bay and serviced by steamboats from Portland where crowds of tourists from the industrial cities of New England could get back to nature for a few days or weeks.

**A deposit of 25% of the price is required to hold the reservation. A $250.00 security deposit is requested (completely refundable upon a favorable inspection of the house after the rental), and a $150.00 cleaning fee.
